Research and Conservation

The data collected through these cameras has played an invaluable role in multiple research and management initiatives, contributing to a greater understanding of habitat preferences, populations sizes, and management needs, which contributes directly to the protection of these species. One important contribution our research has helped to inform is the Conservation Strategy for the Sierra Nevada Red Fox. See other findings here.
