TRACKING TRIP TO OREGON DUNES, May 10-12, 2013 Free to members Join some of our Wolverine Tracking Project trip leaders for a tracking trip to the Oregon Dunes. The Oregon Dunes has miles of sand, and is one of the best places to go animal tracking in Oregon. This trip is an informal event, providing us all with a chance to get in more dirt time practicing our tracking skills. Who this trip is for: Wolverine Tracking Project participants, Cascadia Wild members and volunteers. Family and significant others welcome. When: May 10-12, 2013. Come for all or part of the weekend. Some people may be going down on Thursday as well. Where: We will be staying at the Eel Creek Campground, located 10 miles south of Reedsport. The campground has trail access to the Dunes, and some campsites are actually located on a sand dune. It is a primitive campground, without electrical hookups or showers. Here's the campground's website, for more information. This early in the year, we are not expecting the campground to fill up, but if we are a very large group it would be nice to reserve some sites so we can be close together. What to bring: Participants are responsible for their own food, camping gear, and other necessities. RSVP: Please let us know if you are planning on coming so that we can arrange carpools and camping space. |
