Training dates:

For new participants:
Please choose 1 classroom session (a weekday) and 1 field session (a Saturday).If you are new to tracking, it will be helpful to you if you attend the classroom session before attending the field session.

Returning participants may attend any of the training sessions they choose, but it is not required.

Survey sessions:

Sign ups for the survey trips to Mt Hood National Forest will happen after the trainings are completed.

Children are encouraged to attend. However, children 16 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and they must be able to snowshoe up to one mile. Trips geared towards families will be offered during the survey season. Scholarships for children are also available, thanks to a grant from REI. Please contact us for scholarship information.

Sliding Scale Cost:

$50 - $125 – starting volunteers
$40 - $125 – returning volunteers
Work study and barter are also available.

There is a $4 parking fee to park at Oxbow Regional Park, where the field sessions will be held.
